pizza balls




we had an assignment for school. got given a list of ingredients: USE THEM AND MAKE SOMETHING! so......... ok. after some research, i decided so make these yummyyyyyy pizza balls!!! mmmmmmmm! :]

  • PIZZA DOUGH
Ingredients:
· 1 cup warm water
· 1 ½ tbs sugar
· 10g active dry yeast
· 1 tsp salt
· 3 cups plain flour2 tbs olive oil (to drizzle)


Method:
· Dissolve yeast in warm water
· Stir in sugar to dissolve
· Stir in salt
· allow it to rest till it starts to foam ** see pic below**
· Add 1 ½ cups flour into yeast mixture
· Gradually add more flour till mixture comes away from mixer bowl to form a smooth ball dough
· Allow dough to prove for 30mins, double in size.
· Scale and divide, roll into balls of desired size.
· Put filling into each ball
· Set them on a tray or round tin and allow them to proveBake in oven @ 400-425⁰C till light brown on the top. 8-10mins

  • FILLING

Ingredients:
· Salt + pepper
· 1 cup onions, chopped + diced
· 1 cup button mushrooms
· 1 chicken thigh fillet, chopped + diced
· 1 clove of garlic, chopped finely
· 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
· ½ cup mozzarella cheese
· ½ cup thin pepperoni slices, cut small
· 1 cup of fresh spinach

method:

1.Wash and slice chicken into 1cmx1cm cubes
2.Marinate the chicken with a drizzle of olive oil, pinch of salt and pepper and pinch of oregano
3.Incorporate all the ingredients together.
4.Cover the chicken and leave to marinate for 30minutes.


Prepare vegetables
-1cmx1cm button mushrooms, mozzarella + cheddar cheeses
-Dice onions, tomatoes, garlic, parsley finely

  • DIPPING SAUCE

Ingredients:

TOMATO SALSA

· 180ml tomato paste
· 180ml water
· ½ cup of fresh tomato, chopped + diced
· 3 tbs garlic bread seasoning
· 1 tbsp sugar
· ¾ tsp onion powder
· ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)


RANCH DRESSING

· ranch
· ¾ cup mayo
· ¾ cup milk
